Competition in the smartphone operating system market increasingly fierce. Google made predicted OS, Android will be more powerful.

Increasing strength Android OS is read from the smartphone market forecast issued 2009-2015 and survey consulting firm, Ovum. The reason why Android will be more glorious is because more and more manufacturers are trying to push smartphone their production costs. Android be one alternative to achieve this. As a result, more and more manufacturers look at Android phone. Currently dominating the market is Symbian OS with achieving a market share of 48 percent. This means a decline from 58 percent in 2008.

Although Symbian Ovum predicts shipments will reach 168 million units in 2015, the amount of market share will continue to erode up to 30 percent range. The reason is because of the growing adoption of Android OS. Ovum predicts that shipments will reach Android 110.8 million in the year 2015 and this OS is expected to exceed shipments of Windows Mobile in 2014.
